Team Biography

Fleet Town U16 Reds, play in the North East Hants Youth League in Division 2 at the under 16’s age group. This Division has 12 teams in total. There are 4 divisions in our league.

The Reds won Division 3 in the 2006/07 season winning all but two of their games, and scoring an incredible 101 goals, with Elliott Ward as our top goal scorer. After gaining promotion to Division 2 for the 2007/08 season we finished 7th out of 13 teams. In the 2008/09 season after a run of bad luck with players etc we finished 9th out of 12 teams.

We have a squad of 13 at present and are focused on achieving the best results this season, and training hard towards this goal (excuse the pun).

We currently train once weekly, Wednesday evenings at Oak Farm from 7.45pm until 9.30pm.

Manager Bio

Simon Banham

Born in London 1966, and is a keen Chelsea supporter.

Moved to Fleet in 1989 when he built his own property in Church Crookham. Married to Debbie for 22 years and is Father to Penny and Duncan aged 18 & 15.

Works for himself and his company is called Aztech based in Wokingham who specialize in the construction of conservatories, orangeries and the replacement of high quality windows and doors in hardwood, uPVC and Aluminium.

Simon is a keen supporter of Fleet Town Colts Reds after his son Duncan left Crookham Rovers at the age of 11 and has been involved with the club for 5 seasons and has been involved in running the Reds for the last 3 seasons.

Simon’s main hobbies are golf, fishing and is very actively involved in local charities and Freemasonry.
