U10  Fleet Town Knights  2  Staines Town Colts  4  (SPL Div 6)
A spirited performance by MoM Danny Basset and Effort Winner Adam Keen could not rescue the points against determined opposition. Goals from Sam McCabe and Ben Longmore got Knights level but two well taken goals finally finished them off. A spectacular save by Michael Lund Walter kept the scoreline in keeping with the balance of play.

U10  Egham Town  4  Fleet Town Knights  2  (SPL Div 6)
The Fleet Town Knights produced a magnificent fight back to draw level into the second half with goals from MOM Samuel McCabe and Effort award winner Ben Longmore. However the league leaders were eventual winners with 2 late goals. Also a special mention for many first class saves by Michael Lund Walter.

U10  Fleet Town Knights  1  Chertsey Town Whites  3  (SPL Div 6)
Knights hearts were broken on valentines day by an own goal and a last gasp scrambled effort. A spectacular strike from inside his own half from mom George Kay gave fleet a deserved lead but despite excellent midfield play by effort winner Adam Keen Chertsey's pressure paid off.

U10  Chertsey Whites  3  Fleet Town Knights  0  (Cup)
A valiant effort by 7 knights who finally succumbed to a strong well rotated opposition. 2 injuries in the second half made things difficult with all 3 goals coming in a 10 minute spell near the end. Ben Longmore was denied twice and Tom Gawthrop once as the whole team refused to give up. An excellent goalkeeping performance earned Michael Lund Walter MoM and strong play from William Hendry saw him walk away with the Effort Award in this exciting plate quarter final.

U10  Fleet Town Knights  1  Frimley Green Lions  0  (Cup)
Knights continued their plate traditions coming out deserved winners in a pulsating match. The winning goal was scored by Oliver Bugner who turned and fire expertly into the corner. Knights attacking play was fluent and at times the best yet. Mom sam payne and effort winner Tom Gawthrop ran the wings paticularly well and were it not for an outstanding point blank save from Lions keeper then Ben Longmore would have deservedly added to the lead. A fantastic all round performance from the whole team means Knights march on in the competition.

U10  Worplesdon Rangers Lions  3  Fleet Town Knights  0  (Cup)
The Magnificent Seven Knights played their hearts out in this cup fixture. We hit the bar, the post and missed several great chances but succumbed to 3 goals in as many minutes early in the second half. Mom George Kay was outstanding and effort winner Ben Longmore worked really hard carving out Fleets chances up front. It was a sad day too with Josh Cooper playing his last game before heading to Australia. He'll always be Coops to us!

U10  Onslow Vikings  6  FTC Knights  2  (SPL Div 6)
A high scoring, highly entertaining game between two even sides saw Knights come off second best despite lots of chances. MOM Ben Longmore scored a brace and effort winner Tom Gawthrop put in a strong Captains performance in midfield. Mike pulled of some more fantastic saves in goal today and George was once again terrific in defence ably assisted by a strong performance from Will. It was a shame Coops retired injured. Danny, Sam, Sammy Mac and Ols worked hard in midfield string together some good attack play. I’m not really sure where the 6 goals came from when I look back as we seemed to enjoy a good % of possession. We did attack well and I think in doing so left gaps in midfield which Onslow were able to exploit. 2-1 at half time was far more representative of the position and if anything we were more purposeful in the second half. Perhaps if we hadn’t been chasing the game then we could’ve got the result, a draw at least. Great left foot finish from Ben though!

U10  Fleet Town Knights  1  Guildford Saints Blues  0  (SPL Div 6)
A very exciting game saw a dominant Knights secure a well earned victory with a 30 yard strike from Sam McCabe. Knights were guilty only of failing to convert 3 other gilt edged chances and were rarely threatened. Their attacking interplay was outstanding headed up by a truly spectacular performance by MoM Danny Basset. Defence was equally impressive with a strong back line led by effort winner George Kay. In all the TEAM succeeded in putting in to play all the aspects of their game they've worked so hard on in training and converted the result they have so desrved in some of their earlier games.

U10  Guildford City Eagles  9  Fleet Town Knights  1  (SPL Div 6)
Ignore the result for a moment. Top versus bottom saw Knights turn in their most accomplished first half performance to date. MoM William Hendry excelled in defence as did effort winner Josh Cooper. Knights trailed 3-1 into the break after scoring a terriffic passing goal topped off by Sam Payne and twice going close to scoring a second then an equaliser. The second half saw the unbeaten leaders muscle their way to a win, which while deserved provided a scoreline which was not a fair reflection of the Knights efforts on a foul day.

U10  Fleet Town Knights  2  Egham  3  (SPL Div 6)
Well fought match saw Knights twice come from behind to draw level with goals from Sam Payne and Ben Longmore. Mom performance from George kay and Effort winner Michael Lund-Walter were not quite enough to convert the Result into the draw the team deserved.

U10  Knights  0  Chertsey  3  (SPL Div 6)
"Number 11, watch number 11!" Easier said than done as he hammered home well taken hat trick. Particularly difficult to take was the corner which was perfectly executed. From where I stood I watched him lose his man as the cross landed ideally for him to volley in. Enough of them though! We played our 3 across the middle with a holding role behind but in front of defence. This worked well against Burpham the week before but we didn't always keep the shape this week. HOWEVER there were 3 attacking moves for us to admire, the like of which we hadn't seen before. Great one two passing and movement involving the 3 attacking midfielders, which we will continue to work on at training. I will also relook at the 2 - 1 - 3 formation, perhaps it was a one off last week as this week we looked congested at times. We will practice tackling and shooting again this week along with cover which is something I have not introduced so far this season. I will also ensure it doesn't run into Saturday afternoon again... Great support as always!!

U10  Knights  1  Burpham  5  (SPL Div 6)
A thrilling game where the 7 Knights eventually succumbed to the well rotated league leaders with 4 of their goals scored in the last 10 minutes. The exhausted home Team deserved so much more with fantastic effort from goal scorer Sam P (Payne) and superb wing play from MoM Sammy Mac (McCabe).

20/09/2009
U10  Rushmore  4  Knights  2  (SPL Div 6)
Knights 2 Rushmore 4 An exciting game which saw knights come back to equalize twice but despite 2 goals from effort winner Ollie Bugner and a MoM performance from Josh “Coops” Cooper, we were pipped at the post.
