Welcome to the Fleet Town Colts FC website which we hope you will find interesting and informative. Whether you are already associated with the Colts Club (as a player, parent, guardian, coach, manager, helper or administrator) or are considering joining our Club we hope that you enjoy looking through the website and can find information about the Club that you might need. If there are areas that we have not covered or you simply have a question for the Club, then please feel free to email our Chairman, Jamie Williamson, on chairman@fleettowncolts.co.uk
Fleet Town Colts, now in their 18th year are a thriving FA Charter Standard Football Club with over 300 registered boys (and girls) representing both mini soccer and 11-a-side football in addition to our Saturday morning Club for our 5 and 6 year olds and hopefully budding stars of the future. This coming season (2010 / 11) we will be represented by 23 teams each weekend with 7 teams playing matches in the NEHYL (North East Hants Youth League) and the other 16 teams playing in the SPL (Surrey Primary League).
It is our aim to provide each and every child with the opportunity to play football in a fun, but competitive environment, as we try to develop each individual child's skill-set. The numbers of players who want to play at Fleet Town Colts each season allows us to enter teams throughout the various divisions of each age group thereby ensuring that each player is able to play at a level appropriate to their ability. The Club has endorsed fully the FA Respect programme and will continue to promote the aims of this scheme throughout the Club.
The Club pays great attention to the quality of the coaching offered to its players and ensures that all coaches are FA CRB checked and hold as a minimum the FA Level 1 coaching qualification. The Club is also fortunate in having a number of qualified FA Level 2 and 3 coaches at its disposal, while continuing to work with a number of external coaches in both GK and team coaching. The Colts Club is also looking forward this season to working with some of the newer, younger coaches from the recently established Fleet Town Academy scheme for 16-18 year olds.
Please remember that football is a team game where the opponents, fellow players, coaches, parents and referees should be treated with respect at all times. At Fleet Town Colts we are here to see the children develop both physically, mentally and socially as both sportsmen and individuals as they experience the highs and lows of playing football.
